Two of the Red River Valley’s most respected financial institutions are joining forces. United Valley Bank has agreed to acquire Northern Sky Bank in Crookston, Minnesota, pending regulatory approval.
Pete Haddeland has joined United Valley Bank’s Board of Directors. Haddeland currently serves as United Valley Bank’s Branch President in Mahnomen, Minnesota, and brings 39 years of financial leadership experience to his position on the bank’s board. He spent 23 years as the CEO and President of First National Bank of Mahnomen and Twin Valley before it joined the United Valley Bank family in 2018. He is a native of Waubun, Minnesota, where he resides with his wife, Sandy.
On October 15, 2018, First National Bank Mahnomen Twin Valley will become part of the United Valley Bank family and will take on the United Valley Bank name. United Valley Bank recently promoted Jay Schroeder to commercial loan officer at its Columbia Road Bank in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Schroeder will provide loan services to businesses and organizations in Grand Forks and the surrounding area.
