United Valley Bank has reissued enhanced security debit cards with EMV chip technology.
Your United Valley Bank debit card has now been upgraded with EMV (Europay, MasterCard® and Visa) chip technology. You get all of the same great benefits of your current card plus features that help to protect you against fraud at the register. The chip generates a unique one-time code each time you insert your card at a chip-enabled terminal, making it harder to replicate.
To use your card in a chip-enabled terminal, insert your card into the terminal slot and leave it there until the machine prompts you to remove it. Your new card also has a magnetic stripe. If you are at a store that has not yet upgraded to chip technology, you can still use your new card by swiping the magnetic stripe.
