Drew Olafson has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of United Valley Bank. Olafson has been with United Valley Bank for nineteen years and has held several key leadership roles, including Cavalier Market President, Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, and President. In addition to his new role, he will continue to serve on the United Valley Bank Board of Directors. A native of Mountain, North Dakota, Olafson is a 2005 graduate of North Dakota State University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
Blake Trenbeath has been promoted to President of United Valley Bank. Trenbeath brings over twenty years of banking experience to his new role. A native of Cavalier, North Dakota, Trenbeath is a graduate of Concordia College, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. In addition to his new role, Trenbeath will continue to lead the Fargo team and serve on the United Valley Bank Board of Directors.
Jean Johnson has been promoted to Chief Information Officer. She previously served as United Valley Bank’s Senior Vice President of Information Technology. Johnson has been with United Valley Bank for forty years and leads oversight of the bank’s technology strategy, information security, and core systems. A native of Neche, North Dakota, Johnson is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, where she earned a degree in Banking and Finance.
Kelli Simonson has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. She has more than twenty years of banking experience, including past roles as an Associate National Bank Examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and as the Chief Financial Officer at a growing Fargo-based bank. A native of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Simonson is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Business Law from the USC Gould School of Law.
